With a degree in Economia Aziendale from Luigi Bocconi University, he completed and updated his studies with a Master in Accounting  from SDA Bocconi and training at the Harvard Business School and the IMD Business School in Lausanne.

Much of his professional career took place in the multinational pharmaceutical sector: in Novartis, he held the positions of Country President and CEO of Italy, of CFO at Italian and European level in the Pharma and Oncology divisions, of Integration Officer in the Ciba Sandoz merger, of leader at the Headquarters in Basel of a global IT infrastructure outsourcing project. Among the associative positions: President of the Group of European Multinationals in Farmindustria and technical expert in ABIE, Advisory Board for Foreign Investors of Confindustria.

Since 2021 he has been Ambassador Life Science and Health Care in Federated Innovation @ MIND, the innovation district, where he develops the ecosystem, innovation projects and collaboration between public and private. He is Operational Advisor and Investor for Pranaventures, a seed fund focused on technology companies – with Cassa Depositi e Prestiti in the role of anchor investor. He is Advisor for Berkley SkyDeck Europe, the European program of the American accelerator and Business Angel for projects of the University of Milan and the University of Pavia
